We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Field Service Engineer to support our advanced silicon photonics test systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in optical and electronic measurements, hands-on troubleshooting capability, and the ability to deliver exceptional on‑site service to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of silicon photonics semiconductor test systems.
  • Conduct optical, electrical, and electronic measurements to diagnose system issues and perform related calibration/adjustment to restore full functionality.
  • Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for complex HW or measurement problems.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to escalate and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Timely update service progress, provide test logs for failure analysis and convergence problems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain high-quality service standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Optoelectronics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in optical and electronic measurement, semiconductor equipment maintenance, or field service engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of optical components, laser systems, photonics testing, and electrical measurement instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, SMUs, spectrum analyzers).
  • Proven ability to independently troubleshoot complex system issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong customer‑service mindset.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and capable of working under pressure with a positive growth mindset.
  • Willing to go to the customer site and address the system issues accordingly.
  • Able to work rotating shifts (09:00-21:00; day/afternoon).
