Job Description: We are seeking a Field Application Engineer with a strong background in electron microscopy, bioimaging, or materials science. The FAE will support pre- and post-sales activities, including product demonstrations, sample preparation guidance, workflow optimization, and customer training for the AI-powered STEM platform.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct on-site demos, technical workshops, and training for customers in biomedical and nanomaterials research. Assist sales team with technical presentations, proposal support, and customized solution development. Help customers design experimental workflows leveraging AI-assisted STEM imaging and analysis. Develop application notes and contribute to co-authored publications with strategic partners. Gather customer feedback to guide R&D and product roadmap improvements. Collaborate closely with marketing and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
Qualifications: Masters degree or PhD in materials science, biomedical engineering, biology, or physics. 38 years of hands-on experience with TEM/STEM imaging, sample prep, or EM-based analysis. Familiarity with biological EM workflows or ultramicrotomy is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and technical communication skills. Self-driven, adaptable, and able to thrive in a startup environment.
