Job Summary
Join Micron as a Facility Tool Installation Engineer and play a key role in our world-class engineering team in Taiwan. Responsibilities
- Plan and implement facilities changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts.
- Ensure maximum use of facilities and equipment while adhering to all laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with architecture and engineering firms to develop build criteria and prepare layout and detail drawings.
- Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
- Review and estimate build costs, including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
- Inspect construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Develop criteria and performance specifications to meet outstanding operating requirements and building and safety codes.
- Carry out facility hookups and system integration, working alongside HVM, IE, PUR, and construction teams to guarantee successful tool installation.
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, or drawings.
- Apply test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
- Use BIM software (such as Revit, Navisworks) for space modeling and drawing.
- Assist in 3D modeling and integration of facility and MEP systems.
- Work together with engineering teams to guarantee model accuracy and buildability.
- Support build changes, clash detection, and data updates.
Requirements
- Proven experience in engineering management and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in BIM, facility hookup, and system integration.
- Strong negotiation skills and capability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups.
- Outstanding focus on detail and capability to rigorously follow safety and building regulations.
- Ability to successfully implement engineering solutions and manage abnormal event solving.
