About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager to oversee facilities operations, regulatory compliance, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement for a commercial facility in Taiwan. The successful candidate will ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the facility while serving as the primary liaison with government authorities for permits, inspections, approvals, and regulatory matters.

This role requires strong experience in facilities management, building operations, contractor management, and government stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of facility infrastructure and building systems.
  • Ensure facilities are operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Act as the main point of contact with government agencies, regulatory authorities, and utility providers regarding permits, inspections, licenses, and operational approvals.
  • Coordinate with authorities on facility-related applications, renewals, certifications, and compliance matters.
  • Manage compliance with building regulations, environmental requirements, fire safety standards, and occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs for building systems and equipment.
  • Manage contractors, consultants, service providers, and vendors to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, maintenance plans, and facility improvement projects.
  • Support facility upgrades, renovations, and capital projects.
  • Establish emergency response procedures, risk mitigation plans, and business continuity processes.
  • Monitor facility performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare operational reports, compliance documentation, audit records, and management updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, Property Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in facilities management, building operations, engineering operations, or commercial facilities management.
  • Strong experience working with government agencies and regulatory bodies in Taiwan for facility-related approvals, permits, inspections, and compliance matters.
  • Good understanding of Taiwan building regulations, fire safety requirements, environmental regulations, and facility management practices.
  • Experience managing maintenance contractors, service providers, and outsourced vendors.
  • Strong project management, budgeting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
