ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
About the programme: Home Monitoring and Eldercare (HoME+) is a monitoring system using sensors placed around the home. When unusual patterns are detected (inactive, fall, etc.) or when the user activates the panic button, the Red Cross call centre is notified immediately. Depending on the situation, community responders or the SCDF (for emergencies) will be dispatched to provide assistance.
JOB PURPOSE
The Executive, HoME+ (Engagement) is responsible for providing efficient administrative functions and operational support to the Home Monitoring and Eldercare (HoME+) service/program under the Community Engagement Division of the Singapore Red Cross. This role primarily focuses on overseeing all volunteer management, training and partnership development.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Volunteer Management
. Oversee and manage a diverse pool of volunteers and volunteer leaders across multiple aspects of the programme.
. Provide strategic direction for volunteer programmes, ensuring smooth operations and alignment with organisational and programme objectives.
. Drive initiatives to enhance volunteer satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
. Design and implement regular engagement strategies (e.g. newsletters, surveys, focus groups) to maintain strong volunteer communication and feedback channels.
. Handling of feedback related to volunteers.
Training
. Plan, coordinate, and manage training programmes for volunteers.
. Review and continuously improve training content and delivery to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
. Develop and maintain structured training schedules to support operational needs.
Outreach & Partnerships
. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.
. Support the development and strengthening of partnerships with existing and prospective partners.
. Develop and execute strategies to grow the client base through partnerships in line with annual targets.
. Strategise the positioning of HoME+ and identify opportunities to establish new partnerships that complement and extend service offerings beyond core programme scope.
Operations & Administration Support
. Support HoME+ operations when necessary including but not limited to installations,
activations and overall service delivery processes to ensure operational efficiency.
. Respond to partnerships and volunteer related enquiries via email and phone, providing timely and effective assistance.
. Assist with administrative processes
Any other duties
. Participate in departmental and organisational events and initiatives.
. Undertake additional ad-hoc operational and administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Qualifications and Experience
. Possess a Diploma from a recognised institution.
. Experience in a similar or related role and/or working with volunteers preferred.
Additional Skills and Knowledge
. Good command of both spoken and written English.
. Computer literate.
. Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
. Meticulous with an eye for details and multi-task effectively.
. High initiative.
. Experience in partnership or volunteer work will be an advantage.
