Executive Officer II
The Office of Academic Links (OAL) serves as the international relations arm of the University, responsible for its global engagements in research and global initiatives. Much of its effort is devoted to the internationalisation of the University's teaching, student experience, research, and outreach. The Office is now seeking a high-calibre candidate to join its team of professionals in managing student exchange and summer programmes.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) managing and administering student exchange and summer programmes, including coordination with partner universities and international education networks/associations (b) leading a team to administer academic and cultural programmes, and provide support to local and non-local students (c) supervising marketing and communication strategies, including production of marketing materials, English and Chinese copywriting and content creation (d) overseeing and supporting IT development within the office and (e) undertaking other tasks as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree from a recognised university (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: (iii) at least 4 years post-qualification executive experience, preferably in the higher education sector (iv) an excellent commend of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (v) relevant experience, preferably in programme and partnership management, creative writing, digital marketing and multimedia production (vi) the ability to work independently with high self-motivation and strong problem solving skills (vii) teamwork and leadership skills and (viii) commitment to work in flexible hours and under pressure. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
