Executive Officer II
The School of Life Sciences is now looking for a high-calibre candidate to join the team. The appointee will work alongside a dynamic team, leading the rapid development of the School.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) playing an administrative role in overseeing the undergraduate office (b) planning and executing campaigns to promote the School across various channels, including its website and social media (c) co-ordinating with internal and external parties to organise and participate in admissions, career and alumni events (d) providing support for School events and activities and (e) performing any other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: (iii) at least 5 years post-qualification executive experience, preferably in higher education institutions (iv) strong interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills (v) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) (vi) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation (vii) a good level of experience in student recruiting and marketing within an education context and (viii) high computer proficiency and competence in social media. Having knowledge of and experience with digital media marketing will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
