Executive Officer II

The Chinese University of Hong Kong, in collaboration with MIT-RAISE, co-created the Al Education for Students Project. With funding support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, it aims to cultivate AI literacy and competencies in students, empowering them to learn more effectively, use technology more discerningly, innovate more creatively, hence better prepared for the future workplace and society. The Project engages schools to provide equitable access to quality AI learning for students in Hong Kong.

The appointee will be responsible for (a) planning, coordinating and organising AI educational events (e.g., talks, camps, and exchange programs), ensuring alignment with the Project's goals (b)providing support in the development and implementation of the AI curriculum for various subjects, in collaboration with internal and external parties, including the Project's collaborators and primary and secondary schools, (c) providing support in a wide range of executive functions, including project administration, human resource management, and finance resource management (d)providing professional secretarial support for management meetings, including scheduling, logistical arrangements, and preparing minutes and reports for governing bodies and stakeholders (e)overseeing supporting staff, ensuring efficient and high-quality work and (f) performing any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Applicants should have (a) a recognised Bachelor's degree or above (b) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: (c) at least 5 years of post-qualification executive experience in project management, preferably in tertiary education, public or technology sector (d) excellent communication skills with an exceptional command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (e) strong organisational, time management, attention to detail and problem-solving skills and (f) a good computer and AI literacy. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
