Executive Officer II(s)
The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) providing executive support to the University Secretariat in legal compliance, governance, statutory and regulatory matters (b) providing administrative support in any legislative amendment exercise carried out by the University (c) assisting the University Secretariat in supporting the work of the Council and Council Committees (d) providing support in the planning, coordination and implementation of the Council elections and the relevant work (e) overseeing the digitalisation of documents and (f) performing other projects and tasks as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: (iii) at least 3 years relevant post-qualification executive experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector (iv) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (v) high level of computer literacy (vi) strong organisational and problem-solving skills and (vii) a good team player with a meticulous mindset and self-motivation, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability. Prior work experience in office automation or legal support will be considered an advantage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
