Job Description

Knowledge Transfer Office
Executive Officer II (Event Management and Partnership Development)The appointee will be responsible for (a) organising, executing and co-ordinating exhibitions, seminars, conferences, competitions, networking activities and other knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship-related events (b) supporting the development and management of strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, particularly CUHK-affiliated units and partner organisations in the Greater Bay Area and other parts of the Chinese Mainland (c) liaising and maintaining close working relationships with universities, research institutions, innovation and entrepreneurship platforms, government-related organisations, industry partners and other ecosystem stakeholders (d) supporting collaborative programs and activities that promote knowledge transfer, technology commercialisation, innovation and entrepreneurship (e) preparing proposals, reports, presentation materials and maintaining records relating to partnership development, programs and activities and (f) performing other ad hoc duties as assigned by senior management. Work beyond normal office hours and undertake duty travel will be required when necessary.Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree (ii) fulfilled the language requirements set out on the website: (iii) at least 2 years relevant post-qualification executive experience, preferably in knowledge transfer, technology commercialisation, innovation and entrepreneurship, partnership development, program management and/or event management (iv) relevant working experience and good knowledge of the knowledge transfer, innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Chinese Mainland, particularly the Greater Bay Area (v) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (vi) strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners (vii) good organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in organising exhibitions, seminars, competitions, networking activities and/or promotional programs (viii) the ability to work independently and as a good team player, with a strong sense of responsibility, attentiveness to detail and a proactive work attitude and (ix) proficiency in computer applications. Having experience in knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship activities in the Chinese Mainland, particularly in establishing or supporting partnerships with universities, research institutions, innovation platforms, government-related organisations and industry partners will be highly advantageous. Familiarity with the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems in the Greater Bay Area and other major innovation hubs in the Chinese Mainland will also be an advantage.Applicants must submit copies of certificates showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications will NOT be considered.
