Executive Officer II (carrying the job title of Social Media Manager/ Assistant Manager)
The Communications and Public Relations Office (CPRO) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is dedicated to showcasing CUHK's excellence in education, research, and community impact. CPRO is seeking professionals to support digital engagement and storytelling, building affinity for CUHK among students, alumni, and prospective audiences across regions, with a focus on the Chinese Mainland market.The appointee will be responsible for (a) managing and optimising social media channels for the Chinese Mainland (e.g., Weibo, RedNote, WeChat, Xiaoyuzhou ()), Hong Kong (Facebook and Instagram), and international markets (e.g., YouTube, LinkedIn, X and Spotify), including content ideation, community engagement, and performance analysis (b) leading video content creation projects, include developing creative concepts for various formats (e.g., vodcasts, branding videos, social clips and event highlights) (c) crafting scripts, designing production flows, and collaborating closely with internal design/production teams and external partners (d) creating tailored social campaigns that align with CUHK's academic values, building brand affinity and meaningful engagement among diverse audiences (e) managing paid social media campaigns, staying ahead of trends and adapting strategies to regional differences (f) supporting project management for campaigns and contenting production and (g) ensuring smooth cross-team communication, timely delivery and high-quality outputs.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field (ii) fulfilled the language requirements set out on the website: (iii) at least 5 years of relevant post-qualification executive experience in social media management and content creation (iv) proven experience in developing successful social campaigns, with strong skills in video production management and creative ideation (v) strong familiarity with the evolving digital media landscape (vi) excellent project management abilities, combined with a creative mindset and strong attention to detail (vii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (viii) the ability to navigate cultural nuances across Greater China and international markets (ix) passion for higher education (x) the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and (xi) an energetic, self-motivated, and outgoing work attitude. Having experience in corporate sectors, advertising agencies, education, non-profit, or public organisations is desirable. Having basic video editing skill is preferred. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. Those with less supervisory experience may carry the job title of Assistant Manager.
