Executive Officer II (carrying the job title of Product Team Lead)
The Diversity and Well-being Lab under the supervision of Prof. Winnie Mak at the Department of Psychology is currently recruiting a Product Team Lead for a digital mental health project, the Jockey Club TourHeart+ Project (JCTH+).
The appointee will be responsible for (a) owning the end-to-end product lifecycle for the JCTH+ Web, App and Content Management System (CMS) from ideation to launch and optimisation (b) defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap with the Principal Investigator, Project Manager, and internal teams (c) collaborating with an external tech development vendor to manage the development process for new features (d) communicating product vision and roadmap to all stakeholders, including internal teams and external vendors (e) liaising with external institutional partners to develop collaboration strategy and features (f) translating user problems and business requirements into clear and detailed product requirements, specifications and success metrics (g) conducting regular sprint planning, backlog grooming, and requirement reviews with technical vendors and internal teams (h) prioritising product backlog items based on user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility (i) working closely with the team to optimise the design and presentation of new features for self-help resources (j) conducting user research and analysis to understand user needs and pain points (k) tracking and analysing product performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and (l) operating in a fast-paced, iterative environment-shipping incrementally, learning quickly, and refining based on real-world usage.
Applicants should have/be (i) a Bachelor's degree in Business, Psychology or related fields (ii) fulfilled the language requirements set out on the website: (iii) at least 4 years of executive experience in product ownership and in team management (iv) proven track record of successfully launching and managing consumer Web and App digital products (v) experience in writing detailed technical requirements, user stories, and product requirements documents (PRDs) for development and design teams (vi) exceptional leadership skill in managing a cross-functional team of designers and technical engineers with a collaborative and inclusive approach (vii) exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders and articulate product vision and strategies (viii) strong organisational skills with proven ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams and competing priorities effectively (ix) proven ability to execute at speed in fast-paced environments, balancing high-quality delivery with pragmatic decision-making under tight timelines (x) the ability to think strategically while executing with strong attention to detail (xi) self-driven, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity (xii) strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-informed decisions (xiii) expertise in product design and prototyping tools such as Figma (xiv) fluency in English and Cantonese and (xv) passion for mental health and improving access to resources, and good knowledge of mental health content and self-help resources desirable.
