Executive Officer II [carrying the job title of Project Manager (Technology Transfer)]The appointee will be responsible for (a) collaborating with CUHK InnoHK research centres (Centres) to support IP protection and commercialisation of R&D outcomes (b) managing IP portfolios arising from Centres (including invention disclosure, patent filing, and outside‑counsel coordination) (c) negotiating in industry collaboration agreements, licensing deals, and start‑up/ spin‑off arrangements associated with the Centres outputs (d) ensuring all technology transfer activities in compliance with relevant University and ITC policies and regulations (e) co-ordinating and organising events and outreach activities such as business development activities and (f) conducting ad-hoc projects and performing other administrative tasks as assigned.Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Technology or a related discipline (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: (iii) at least 3 years post-qualification executive experience, preferably in the IP management and/or commercialisation of R&D outcomes (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (v) strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills (vi) a proactive work attitude and competence in multitasking (vii) the ability to work independently and under pressure (viii) outstanding interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills and (ix) strong computer literacy. Having solid experience in university knowledge transfer offices or research institutes (IP commercialisation and management) is highly preferred.
