Job Description

Faculty of Medicine
Executive Officer II

The appointee will work under the Education and Academic Affairs Team of the Faculty and Planning Office, Faculty of Medicine at the CUHK Shatin campus. He/ She will be responsible for (a) co-ordinating a wide range of administrative matters related to Taught Postgraduate Programmes, and Professional and Continuing Education Programmes offered by Schools/Departments, including but not limited to quota sub-allocation, programme review exercise, programme re-approval exercise, etc. (b) supporting teaching and learning and quality assurance matters at the Faculty level (c) supporting the Faculty's new initiatives in teaching and learning (d) providing administrative and logistic support to the Faculty Board / Committees (e) liaising with the University's internal academic and administrative units, and external professional organisations and (f) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) a recognised Bachelor's degree (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: (iii) at least 3 years post-qualification executive experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (v) excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and organisational skills with attentiveness to details (vi) strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently and (vii) good IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Applicants must submit all academic certificates, including copies of HKALE/HKDSE certificates, showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications will NOT be considered.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
