Executive Officer I
The appointee will be responsible for (a) managing diaries, and organising meetings and appointments for the senior management (b) arranging travel, transport, accommodation and itineraries for the senior management (c) providing a full-range of personal assistance and secretarial support for the senior management (d) co-ordinating with various internal and external parties to maintain a smooth daily work-flow (e) organising events, ceremonies and seminars (f) handling office administration (g) coaching supporting staff and (h) performing other tasks as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: (iii) at least 8 years post-qualification executive experience, preferably at tertiary institutions (iv) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (v) good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills (vi) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation to work efficiently under pressure (vii) proficiency in computer literacy (viii) an innovative and positive work attitude and (ix) good team spirit to work along with colleagues. Candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
