Executive Officer/Clerk I (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant) in the Department of Microbiology, School of Clinical Medicine(Ref.: 534327) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above with at least 5 years full-time work experience, preferably in tertiary education institutions. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English a strong sense of responsibility and excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. They should also be self-motivated, attentive to details, able to handle multiple tasks, and work independently and in a team to meet tight deadlines. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience will be considered for appointment as Clerk I.

The appointee will assist the Chief Department Administrator in providing comprehensive administrative support to the Department. Key areas of responsibility may include:

  • Human Resources Management
  • Programme Administration
  • Research Administration
  • Finance and Budgeting

He/She will also perform any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
