SwedCham Taipei is a vibrant business community that brings together Swedish and Sweden-related companies operating in Taiwan.  Working closely with our member companies, the Board of Directors, the Swedish Representative's Office, Business Sweden and many valued partners, we create opportunities for networking, knowledge-sharing and collaboration while strengthening commercial relations between Sweden and Taiwan.

As Executive Director, you will play a central role in bringing people together, creating value for our members and helping shape the future of the Swedish business community in Taiwan.

Key Responsibilities

As Executive Director, you will:

• Lead the Chamber's day-to-day activities and support the implementation of its strategic priorities.
• Build strong and lasting relationships with our member companies while welcoming new members into the Chamber community.
• Develop partnerships and sponsorship opportunities that support the Chamber's long-term sustainability.
• Plan and deliver a high-quality programme of business seminars, networking events and flagship activities, including Sweden Days, the Swedish Crayfish Party, the Business Innovation Awards and Young Professionals initiatives.
• Represent SwedCham at meetings and events with member companies, Team Sweden partners, government agencies, universities and the wider international business community.
• Lead the Chamber's communications, including newsletters, website, social media and member engagement.
• Work closely with the Board to support good governance, sound financial management and the efficient day-to-day operation of the Chamber.

Who You Are

You enjoy working with people and thrive in a small, international organisation where initiative, flexibility and collaboration are valued.

You are equally comfortable building relationships, developing new ideas, organising events and ensuring that projects are delivered to a high standard.

Ideally, you will have:

• A university degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong links to Sweden through professional, educational or personal experience.
• Several years of relevant experience in business development, trade promotion, membership organisations, communications, stakeholder engagement, project management or a related field.
• A good understanding of the Taiwan business environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently while working closely with a Board of Directors.

Knowledge of Swedish business culture, Swedish language skills, Chinese Mandarin language skills, and experience with sponsorship development, CRM systems or digital communications will be considered an advantage.
