Environmental Health & Safety (HSE) (Mandarin Proficiency Required) / Central / Contract Role
Summary
We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (HSE)professional to join our Safety & Security team in APAC. You will ensure regulatory compliance, drive risk mitigation initiatives, and provide guidance to internal stakeholders to safeguard employees, assets, and company reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with local HSE regulations across multiple APAC locations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify gaps and drive improvements.
- Track and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
- Partner with regional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks.
- Support and lead safety initiatives and prevention programs.
- Provide regular reporting to management on HSE performance metrics and program effectiveness.
- Benchmark industry best practices to enhance safety standards and programs.
- Deliver training and guidance to stakeholders on HSE practices and compliance requirements.
- Manage projects, timelines, budgets, and performance expectations related to HSE initiatives.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
- Travel regionally when required (expenses covered).
- Communicate effectively in Mandarin (spoken and written) with APAC and China stakeholders on HSE matters.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE within multinational or multicultural environments.
- Understanding of APAC HSE regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in HSE program development, audits, and risk management.
- Proficiency in Mandarin (written and spoken) to support business communication needs.
- Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
