Job Description

The incumbent provides strategic leadership for Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) across the factory, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate requirements while protecting people, assets, operations, and the environment. The incumbent drives the implementation of EHS management systems, risk controls, and continuous improvement initiatives to foster a strong safety culture, prevent incidents, and support sustainable manufacturing performance.

As EHS Manager, you will be responsible for

  • Establishes and continuously improves EHS governance, policies, procedures, and management systems to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, corporate, and global standards. Leads the implementation of Integrated Management Systems, supports audits and certifications, and monitors EHS performance, risk exposure, and reporting to drive continuous improvement.
  • Leads critical risk management initiatives by identifying, assessing, and mitigating workplace hazards to prevent serious injuries, environmental incidents, and fire-related events. Oversees incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to ensure effective risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
  • Leads environmental sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact, emissions, waste, and resource consumption while promoting responsible production practices. Oversees environmental performance, protection systems, and incident prevention activities to ensure alignment with corporate sustainability goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Leads EHS capability-building initiatives by developing and delivering training programs for employees, contractors, and leaders to strengthen safety, health, and environmental competencies across the site. Coaches teams and promotes EHS ownership, risk management capability, and a positive safety culture through engagement, leadership, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensures factory compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements by maintaining safe working conditions, equipment usage, material handling, and workplace controls. Oversees the implementation of safety programs, PPE and chemical safety requirements, emergency preparedness, and the sharing of best practices to continuously improve EHS performance.
  • Integrates EHS requirements into factory operations, projects, and business planning to support safe design, operational excellence, and sustainable manufacturing practices. Coordinates EHS plans, budgets, emergency preparedness, and improvement initiatives while supporting factory leadership in achieving business resilience and compliance objectives.
  • Leads and develops the EHS team by fostering high performance, accountability, and ownership through effective performance management and development planning. Drives talent development, succession planning, and capability building to ensure team readiness and alignment with IWS and business objectives.
  • Manages additional tasks and projects as assigned, ensuring alignment with IWS strategy, business priorities, and factory objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical fields. A Master's degree in a related field is an advantage.
  • 5–7 years of EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing, factory, FMCG, industrial, chemical, or regulated environment, with at least 3 years of leadership or team management experience.
  • Required certification: Type A Occupational Safety and Health Business Supervisor (甲種職業安全衛生業務主管). Additional EHS certifications such as Class A/B Occupational Safety or Occupational Health certifications are preferred.
  • Strong experience in EHS management systems, compliance, audits, occupational safety, environmental programs, risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency response.
  • Knowledge and experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, or similar standards, with the ability to work effectively with factory teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and influencing skills, with the ability to drive EHS culture, lead cross-functional initiatives, and support continuous improvement.
  • Fluent in English and Traditional Chinese, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Word.
