  • Participate in and facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), HAZOP studies, and Process Safety Management initiatives.
  • Support Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for new facilities, equipment, and process changes.

Safety Culture & Employee Engagement

  • Promote a proactive, safety-first culture across the organization.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers, supervisors, employees, contractors, and visitors on EHS requirements.
  • Develop initiatives that increase employee engagement, ownership, and accountability for workplace safety.

Incident Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and environmental events.
  • Identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze safety trends and performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management

  • Develop and maintain site emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Coordinate emergency drills, evacuation exercises, and CERT-related activities.
  • Ensure emergency preparedness programs remain effective and aligned with regulatory requirements.

Audits, Inspections & Performance Monitoring

  • Conduct regular site inspections, compliance reviews, and EHS audits.
  • Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics and KPIs to site leadership.
  • Drive closure of audit findings and improvement opportunities.

Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement

  • Serve as the primary contact for EHS-related interactions with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders.
  • Support licensing, permit management, inspections, and compliance reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into operational and project decisions.

Environmental Management

  • Support environmental compliance programs including waste management, emissions control, industrial hygiene monitoring, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve environmental performance and resource efficiency.

What You'll Bring

  • Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Health, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
  • 6–10 years of EHS experience within pharmaceutical, chemical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore EHS regulations and industry best practices.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems; familiarity with ISO 9001 is advantageous.
