Morgan McKinley is partnering with a client to hire an experienced risk and governance leader to drive enterprise-wide governance frameworks, risk management initiatives, and strategic transformation projects across a complex regional business.
This role will play a critical part in strengthening governance structures, enhancing risk oversight capabilities, and partnering with business leaders to embed strong governance practices across multiple operating entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and enhancement of enterprise-wide governance and risk management frameworks
- Drive governance transformation initiatives and strategic projects across the Group
- Establish governance structures, accountability frameworks, and oversight mechanisms
- Partner with senior stakeholders across business functions to strengthen governance culture and risk awareness
- Monitor governance effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Support risk assessments for major business initiatives, investments, and transformation programmes
- Prepare and present governance and risk matters to senior management and board-level committees
- Collaborate closely with regional risk, compliance, audit, and business teams across multiple markets
Key Requirements
- Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
- Professional certifications such as FRM, CPA, CA, ICA, or CISA will be advantageous
- 12+ years of experience within Enterprise Risk Management, Governance, Compliance, Internal Audit, or Controls functions
- Proven track record leading group-wide governance or risk transformation initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders across regions
- Experience operating within large, complex, matrixed organisations
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, risk management principles, and control environments
