Freelance ESL Teacher (In-Person) – Taipei, Taiwan

Cartus is seeking a freelance ESL teacher for individual, in-person lessons in Taipei, Taiwan.

Learner Profile

• Age: 15 years old
• Language goals: Schoolwork, Daily communication, Social interactions with peers

Role Overview

You will deliver engaging, customised English lessons to support both the learner's academic success and everyday communication skills. The focus is on building confidence and practical language use in a supportive, learner-centred environment.

Location

• In-person lessons in Taipei, Taiwan

Schedule

• Frequency: Once per week
• Availability: Evenings (after school hours)

Ideal Candidate

• Native or near-native English proficiency
• Experience teaching ESL to teenagers (preferred)
• Ability to adapt lessons to academic and conversational needs
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage young learners
• TEFL/CELTA or equivalent qualification (preferred)
