About the Role
Role: Engineering Head, give.do (India's largest crowdfunding platform for nonprofits)
Location: Remote
We're looking for an Engineering Head to lead the team responsible for building, scaling, and maintaining the technology that powers India's largest crowdfunding platform for nonprofits. You'll work closely with the product team, and will be responsible for design, development, quality, and reliability of the platform. You will also be responsible for AI adoption to drive speed and agility, without compromising on quality. This role is ideal for someone who wants to stay deeply hands-on, while also growing into strong people and execution leaders.
Responsibilities
- Own the engineering roadmap in collaboration with product and business stakeholders
- Lead engineering execution across design, development, QA, and infrastructure
- Design, review, and implement high-quality software systems and reliable architecture
- Mentor and manage a team of 5 engineers
- Champion best practices in software engineering, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure
Qualifications
- 7–12 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role
Required Skills
- Proven ability to write and review high-quality code
- Strong understanding of system design, databases, API development, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Comfort with the MERN stack
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and setting up observability tools
- Ability to deeply leverage AI tools for software development and delivery, and to drive their adoption across the engineering team
- High degree of ownership and autonomy—you can drive projects independently and take accountability
