Arup's Energy Infrastructure business in East Asia is experiencing rapid growth. With Hong Kong as our base, we provide detailed planning, design and engineering services for a wide spectrum of energy development projects. The work of our Energy Infrastructure Team is focused around some significant infrastructure projects including combined cycle power plants, offshore LNG receiving terminal, gas receiving stations and offshore wind farms. In addition to multidisciplinary design and construction management, we also provide project management service to our clients for execution of their projects from inception through to commercial operation. We are seeking to recruit capable and independent individuals for the following positions to join our energetic team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the project team on all aspect of geotechnical engineering design works
  • Provide technical inputs for geotechnical design and consulting assignments
  • Coordinate between project team members, clients, government agencies, design institutes, and other stakeholders to facilitate project implementation
  • Assist in technical proposal preparation, prepare tender documents and tendering assessment
  • Conduct project research program if required

Qualifications and Experiences required:

  • Degree in civil engineering, post-graduate degree in relevant discipline is an advantage
  • Corporate membership of relevant professional institution(s)
  • At least 3 years of post graduation experience for the position of Engineer at least 1 year of post chartered experience for the position of Project Engineer
  • Knowledgeable in IT tools including business and engineering software and applications
  • Strong interest in digital engineering design with demonstrable proficiency in Python scripting or visual programming in Grasshopper will be an advantage
  • Effective individual contributor with ability to work well in team
  • Good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with high personal drive for achievements and success
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese
