We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to support senior staff in developing design documentation and ensuring timely project delivery. Responsibilities include designing electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, grounding, and safety instrumentation, performing detailed calculations, updating electrical databases (Amtech/EasyPower), and drafting schematic and layout drawings. The role also involves coordinating with subcontractors to resolve RFIs, reviewing specifications, and assisting with other tasks as directed.
Explore Your Tasks And Responsibilities
- Work with the senior engineer/ manager to develop design documentation.
- Design of Electrical Power Distribution, Lighting, Grounding, Signaling, Communication, Security/Life safety and Instrumentation.
- Perform detailed calculations such as cable sizing, voltage drop, breaker selection/setting, co-ordination studies and containment sizing.
- Updating the electrical database (Amtech/EasyPower).
- Drafting 2D schematic and equipment plan drawings.
- Adherence to project schedule.
- Review of design guides and specification.
- Co-coordinating with sub-contractor resolve RFIs and answering submittals.
- Other duties as required and as directed by the senior engineer or managers.
Show Your Expertise
- A Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years+ experience.
- To be fully conversant in the following:
- Basic electrical calculations
- Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure and on own initiative.
