About the Role

Xperi/Vewd focuses on technology for Smart TVs and our OEM partners (e.g., Sharp, Thomson, Vestel) and with some of the biggest content partners in the world, helping them deploy their services on our customer's platforms.

Join our team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge Xperi/Vewd products. As an Embedded Software Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting customers with the seamless integration of our products into their platforms. This is a great opportunity to leverage your problem-solving skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

You'll work closely with an extended team of experienced engineers locally and globally to continuously drive innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Help to design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, portable, and reliable C++ code (25M+ LOC; majority in C++, but Java/JavaScript/Python)
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs for a plethora of platforms and device solutions
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Proactively seek assistance when required and actively contribute to team activities including design reviews, code reviews and mentoring
• Stay current about industry developments and Internet technologies

Qualifications

Must have:

• Familiar with modern C++ coding (11 or above)
• Good C++ skills and a firm understanding of object-oriented programming
• Familiar with HTML/Java/JavaScript
• Experience in UNIX/Linux programming
• Drive and commitment to work in a highly dynamic environment
• Knowledge of web standards
• Good working knowledge of English, written and spoken
• Good knowledge of Chinese; currently located in Taiwan and have required Visa to work

Nice to have:

• Experience in the development and debugging of embedded systems
• Experience in embedded Linux
• Experience in devtools or similar tool for issue analysis/debugging
