You will join a multicultural and cross-disciplinary environment with internal and external development teams around the world. As an embedded software engineer in development center, you will need to lead ESW domain, actively drive JDM supplier to deliver expected results. There are no ordinary days in the engineering team, but your tasks may include below key Responsibilities:

Lead and define the development of critical ESW/FW requirements and standards to ensure robustness, efficiency, and compliance for GN's products.

Collaborate with JDM partners, design and implement ESW/FW for GN products from requirements to production and commercial deployment.

Develop and maintain documentation for ESW/FW development processes and supplier interactions.

Ensure the development of ESW/FW fulfill GN cybersecurity requirements.

Monitor and review suppliers ESW/FW development progress and deliverables to ensure project alignment.

Provide technical expertise and guidance to suppliers to resolve complex ESW/FW issues.

Collaborate with app developers to define API requirements and create robust interfaces for GN product integration with mobile and desktop applications.

Stay informed of the latest ESW/FW technologies and methodologies to foster continuous improvement.

Proactive identification and resolution of ESW/FW issues, minimizing impact on project timelines and performance.

Effective management and validation of suppliers ESW/FW deliverables, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality outputs.

Strong collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers, fostering a productive and efficient development environment.

Effective collaboration with UI/UX designers and app developers to ensure a cohesive and user-friendly interaction between the software and the user.

Teamwork with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to deliver comprehensive embedded software solutions.

Great stakeholder management skills and vast experience

As a person, you possess strong communication skills, enabling you to build good relationships with external and internal stakeholders at all levels. You have a strong determination and drive, even when things are challenging.

Primary External Relations:

Engage technically with ESW/FW suppliers to evaluate their capabilities.

Collaborate with suppliers on ongoing ESW/FW development, validation, and troubleshooting.

Work with suppliers on collaborative ESW/FW development and integration.

Primary Internal Relations:

Act as SW PM in program scoping, execution, risk managements ensuring ESW/FW meet GN's requirement.

Partner with internal teams and suppliers to facilitate software testing and quality control.

Professional Skills:

Bachelor's or master's in information/SW engineering or related fields.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in embedded software/firmware development, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. Experience in enterprise headset/video bar, or project SW lead/driver and SW architect is preferred.

Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Assembly, or other ESW/FW related languages.

Comprehensive knowledge of software/firmware development life cycles, from design to deployment and maintenance.

Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review processes.

Excellent knowledge of operating system coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.

Familiarity with mobile and desktop application development ecosystems and the interfacing of embedded systems with these platforms.

Ability to lead and influence technical discussions with suppliers/partners and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Great spoken and written English.
