Position: Embedded Audio Software Engineer – Linux & ALSA

Experience: 4 to 8 Years

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug embedded audio software and Linux audio drivers.
• Work on Audio HAL and ALSA development, integration, and debugging.
• Analyse and troubleshoot audio issues such as glitches, latency, timestamp mismatches, and packet loss.
• Work on audio processing concepts, including mixing, filtering, audio enhancement, and noise reduction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand audio architecture and implement software components.
• Support audio validation, performance characterisation, and subsystem enablement.
• Debug and optimise audio software for next-generation SoC platforms.
• Identify root causes of audio performance and functionality issues.

Technical Skills

• Strong programming experience in C.
• Hands-on experience with Linux Audio Driver (ALSA) development and debugging.
• Practical knowledge of Audio HAL.
• Good understanding of audio concepts, including:
• Audio glitches and root-cause analysis
• Audio latency and timestamp issues
• Packet loss
• Audio mixing and filtering
• Audio enhancement and noise reduction
• Experience in embedded software development and debugging.
