Embedded Audio QA Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Audio QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated tests for embedded audio products. This role focuses specifically on audio chip testing, not general embedded systems such as automotive or IoT devices. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in embedded audio, hands-on experience with automation tools, and proficiency in scripting languages like TCL and Python.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, set up, and execute automated tests for embedded audio products.
• Design and maintain test cases and test scripts using TCL and/or Python.
• Operate and manage audio test lab equipment for automated validation.
• Use audio testing tools such as Audacity (GUI) and sox (command line).
• Conduct CI test automation for audio systems and report findings accurately.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Stay current with the latest embedded audio and QA automation technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Embedded Audio QA test development (specifically audio chip testing).
• Strong knowledge of I2S buses and digital microphones (Digital Mics).
• Experience with automated testing tools and audio CI automation.
• Skilled in scripting languages such as TCL and Python.
• Familiarity with audio tools such as Audacity and sox.
• Experience in setting up and managing audio test lab environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
