Job Description

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop/implement EH&S policies, programs and practices.
  • Assist in the formulation, planning and promotion of EHS management and guide relevant personnel to implement them.
  • Help the organization understand and ensure compliance with relevant EHS regulations and Corning EHS requirements.
  • Supervise and review the effectiveness of ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 and continue to improve.
  • Communicate and assist each department to investigate and monitor incidents, accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards or uncomfortable conditions in the work place and provide corrective action plan.
  • Manage all necessary safety related compliance documents and monitor actions taken.
  • Educate and train all employees and vendors on safety and hygiene function to have them equip with safety mindset and be able to understand and comply with safety regulations and laws, and the organization's safety policies and standards.
  • Lead and take the initiative to carry out safety activities to enhance safety culture and employee safety awareness.

Required Skills:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills (both English and Chinese)
  • Have good inter-departmental communication and coordination skills
  • Great proven problem solving and fault-finding skills
  • Like working in a team and communicate with other parts of the organization
  • A creative approach, being self-motivated and well organized
  • A good understanding of, and commitment to, the highest standard of health & safety in the work environment
