Editor (carrying the job title of Assistant Arts Officer)The appointee will play a key role in advancing the College's creative and arts initiatives, and will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties, including but not limited to (a) managing the setup and operation of the Digital Creative Centre and providing support for digital creative projects (b) planning and organising art exhibitions and related cultural events (c) overseeing the College's social media platforms and publications, ensuring high-quality artistic and creative content (d) assisting in the co-ordination of General Education courses for non-Cantonese-speaking students and (e) performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Irregular working hours, including weekends, evenings or holidays, may be required occasionally.Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Cultural Management, Creative Media, Design, Arts Administration or a related discipline (ii) at least 2 years relevant post-qualification experience in arts administration or creative media (iii) an excellent command of both English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) (iv) strong digital media skills and proficiency in social media content creation and publication design tools and (v) the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Having experience in curriculum development or educational programme management will be advantageous. The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
