To oversees the safe installation, inspection, and verification of electrical and control systems in industrial environments-particularly hazardous areas (such as oil and gas, chemical, or pharmaceutical plants) where explosive atmospheres may be present.
Job Requirement:
1. Hazardous Area(CompEx) Specific Responsibilities
- Inspection & Verification: Conduct detailed and periodic inspections of electrical installations in hazardous areas in compliance with IEC standards and site safety rules.
- Compliance Certification: Ensure all electrical equipment, cable glands, enclosures, and instrumentation located in explosive atmospheres meet CompEx safety standards before energization.
- Defect Management:Identify, document, and track non-compliances or installation defects for hazardous area electrical kits, executing timely corrective actions.
2. Site Construction& Execution
- Subcontractor Supervision: Direct and monitor on-site electrical and instrumentation contractors to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
- Work Pack Review: Review construction work packs, installation drawings, loop diagrams, hook-up schematics, and cable schedules.
- Progress Monitoring: Track daily site progress, compare actual installation rates against project baselines, and identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
3. Quality Assurance& Quality Control (QA/QC)
- Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs): Implement and adhere to site QA/QC procedures and ITPs for cable tray erection, conduit laying, earthing/grounding networks, and field instrument setup.
- As-Built Documentation: Oversee the redlining of drawings and ensure accurate preparation of final As-Built documentation for handovers.
4. Testing and Commissioning Support
- Pre-Commissioning Checks: Lead continuity testing, insulation resistance (Megger) testing, loop checks, and calibration of field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters).
- FAT/SAT Coordination: Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for control panels, PLCs, and switchgear packages.
Qualification
Must possess diploma or degree in Engineering
Must possess compex certification
