Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Driver Engineer role based in Taipei City. The Driver Engineer will design, implement, and maintain device drivers for Moxa's networking and connectivity products, ensuring stable integration with operating systems and hardware platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing hardware specifications, developing and debugging driver code, performing compatibility and performance testing, and resolving system-level issues in collaboration with hardware and firmware teams. The role also involves documenting technical designs, supporting product integration with customer environments, and contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and tools. The Driver Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that driver software meets quality, reliability, and security requirements.
Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in system-level programming (such as C/C++) and experience developing or maintaining device drivers for major operating systems.
  • Solid understanding of computer architecture, operating system internals, and hardware interfaces (for example, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, or serial communication).
  • Experience with debugging tools, performance profiling, and troubleshooting low-level software and hardware integration issues.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, build automation, and collaborative software development workflows.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret hardware specifications and collaborate effectively with hardware, firmware, and QA teams.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English and local language, and a systematic approach to documentation.
  • Experience in embedded systems, networking products, or industrial automation environments is a plus.
