About the Company
The R&D Manager is tasked with the oversight and execution of high-level design and technical strategies. The primary duties are centered on ensuring product integrity and competitive positioning.
About the Role
The R&D Manager is responsible for leading and supervising the R&D of new products involving analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, ensuring strict compliance with datasheet specifications.
Responsibilities
1.Product R&D and Technical Decision-Making
- New Product Design: Lead and supervise the R&D of new products involving analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, ensuring strict compliance with datasheet specifications.
- Design Optimization: Responsible for full-chip timing closure and database integration, ensuring project milestones are completed within designated deadlines.
- Technical Solutions: Propose optimal solutions for technical bottlenecks encountered during design, and define design methodologies to ensure smooth product development and release.
- Debugging & Validation: Actively participate in chip debugging and post-silicon validation processes.
- IP Strengthening: Draft valuable patents and innovative ideas for new products to enhance the company's competitive edge.
2.R&D Project Management
- Schedule Control: Oversee schedule planning for circuit designs; manage the organization and progress tracking of R&D projects to ensure on-time delivery.
- Environment Setup: Establish simulation environments and resolve encountered technical issues to ensure a stable R&D environment.
3.Team Leadership & Management
- Process Standardization: Optimize and establish standardized IC design flow specifications, and strictly implement them to prevent and resolve schedule delays.
- Talent Development: Allocate task assignments and project schedules to team members; plan and execute comprehensive training programs for new hires.
- Technical Exchange: Foster continuous innovation within the team; regularly share memory-related technical expertise and experience to elevate overall team capabilities.
4.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Requirement Communication
- Specification Definition: Discuss technical specifications with the PM department; define, negotiate, and evaluate product requirements and specifications to provide customers with optimal product solutions.
- Mass Production Collaboration: Collaborate closely with manufacturing, process, testing, and validation departments during the design phase to ensure design integrity, manufacturability, and testability.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
Work Experience:
- 7–10+ years of experience in analog, digital, or mixed-signal IC design.
- Practical design experience in CMOS technology with advanced technology nodes.
- Hands-on experience in product R&D project management.
Professional Knowledge:
- Proficient in analog/digital/mixed-signal IC design and custom circuit design flows.
- Familiar with the entire IC design lifecycle, spanning from design and verification to mass production.
Tools & Programming Skills:
- EDA Tools: Proficient in Verilog, Spice (HSPICE, Finesim, Ultrasim), Spectre, Virtuoso, Laker, and other relevant tools.
- Programming Languages: Strong programming skills in scripting (Python, Perl), Unix shell, C/C++, Skill, TCL, etc.
Language Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; capable of using English as the primary working language.
