Job Description

Job description

Our client is seeking a senior commercial leader to drive institutional client engagement, business origination, and execution strategy within a dynamic global markets environment. This role focuses on delivering high-impact financial solutions to large-cap corporates, with an emphasis on long-term partnership and risk advisory-spanning the full spectrum of fixed income, currencies, and commodities (FICC).

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead relationship management and strategic dialogue with C-suite and treasury executives across a diversified portfolio of leading corporate groups, primarily within the China corporate ecosystem.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, identifying underlying business exposures and balance sheet needs, and architecting customized risk-mitigation and investment strategies using a broad range of FICC asset classes and derivative instruments, including rates, FX, credit, and commodity-linked products.
  • Lead end-to-end deal origination and execution, from ideation and structuring to pricing negotiation and trade life-cycle management, ensuring seamless coordination across internal deal teams.
  • Partner closely with quantitative strategies, trading desks, and capital markets units to secure optimal execution terms, liquidity access, and innovative pricing models for complex, multi-asset transactions-with particular focus on flow and structured FICC solutions.
  • Drive internal governance processes, including credit line approvals, legal documentation (ISDA/CSA), and internal risk committee submissions for high-value or non-standard transactions.
  • Ensure all cross-border and onshore activities adhere to evolving regulatory frameworks, including cross-jurisdictional compliance with AML, KYC, and suitability standards, while proactively managing regulatory risk in coordination with legal and compliance teams.

Requirements:

  • 8-12+ years of progressive experience in global financial markets, with a clear track record in client-facing, revenue-generating roles-particularly within corporate treasury or institutional sales functions, ideally with direct exposure to FICC product suites.
  • Commercially minded, with a demonstrable ability to originate new business, deepen existing client relationships, and navigate complex internal approval workflows.
  • Deep practical knowledge of interest rate derivatives, foreign exchange products (including emerging market non-deliverables), credit bonds, and macro hedging strategies-all core pillars of the FICC landscape.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential, with the ability to articulate sophisticated financial concepts to diverse audiences, including senior management and external clients.
  • Strong interpretive skills in macroeconomics, monetary policy, and China-specific market drivers, supported by advanced proficiency in Bloomberg, Excel, and other analytical platforms.
