JOB TITLE: Director, Project Management

REPORTS TO: Executive Director, Project Management or designee

JOB SUMMARY Provides management support and direct supervision to Project Management staff. Responsible for supporting the creation and implementation of individualized development plans, successful performance, employee motivation and retention of PM staff. Provides training, consultation and oversees metrics on compliance and quality related to operating activities of assigned staff to ensure project deliverables are met. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES . Maximizes employee performance through coaching and hands-on operational and financial project support, ensuring quality implementation of studies delivered on time and on budget . Supports growth and development of line reports through collaboration with project teams and resourcing and identification of related opportunities within and external to assigned projects. . Utilizes relevant systems and reports to monitor applicable study level metrics, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions (SOP/WIs) and required training and documentation . Builds strong relationships with line reports and provides continuous monitoring/support of employee motivation and job satisfaction. . Drives development and implementation of tools, processes and engagement strategies to support employee motivation, satisfaction and retention. . Onboards employees according to country-specific employment regulations. May serve as subject matter expert (SME), responsible for training and inquiries on a specific topic. . Provide feedback to line reports both real-time and through the appraisal process to develop key project management competencies. . Performs ongoing assessment of employee training needs, processes, procedures and other aspects of work environment and leads the development/delivery of new or enhanced, processes, procedures and training, including provision of scientific training to expand project management knowledge across different disease types. . Act as a change agent develop and implement helpful materials and information to support the change of team members, champion change by gaining support and commitment from employees by explaining how new initiatives or changes will benefit them . Leads interview and selection process of project management staff

Collaborate with Project Delivery team to ensure PMs are successfully delivering based on study metrics and reporting. . May serve as line lead.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (please indicate if preferred) . Bachelor's degree in life sciences, nursing degree, or equivalent related experience, plus extensive clinical research experience in a contract research organization, pharmaceutical or Biotechnology Company, including some time in a leadership capacity or equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required. . Extensive knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirement . Strong PM delivery capability as evidenced by a successful track record of managing clinical projects. . Demonstrated ability to develop talent . Ability to juggle a large team and prioritize key areas that drive maximum impact . Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and change management skills, both written and spoken, with an ability to inform, influence, convince, and persuade . Strong time management, technical and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. . Knowledge of basic financial concepts as related to forecasting and budgeting. Understands project budgets. . Must demonstrate good computer skills and be able to embrace new technologies . Ability to travel as necessary (up to 25%)
