As we enter our next phase of growth, we are looking for a Director of Finance & Strategy who can go beyond traditional accounting and finance management. We need someone who can combine strong financial discipline with strategic thinking, helping leadership navigate growth, profitability, investment decisions, and long-term planning.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to be deeply involved in shaping the future direction of a growing entrepreneurial company.

Position Overview

The Director of Finance & Strategy will lead the company's financial management while also acting as a strategic business partner to the CEO and leadership team.

Unlike a traditional finance role focused only on accounting and reporting, this position requires someone who can:

• Understand the bigger picture of the business

• Think strategically about future growth

• Provide leadership-level financial insights

• Improve financial visibility and planning

• Help optimize profitability and resource allocation

• Support long-term business transformation

This role will oversee the finance function in both Taiwan and China while helping leadership make better strategic decisions through data, forecasting, and business analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Oversight

• Lead and oversee all financial activities across Taiwan and China operations

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

• Strengthen internal controls, financial processes, and operational transparency

• Oversee accounting, taxation, treasury, banking relationships, and audits

• Monitor company profitability, margins, working capital, and cash flow health

Strategic Planning & Business Partnership

• Partner closely with the CEO on strategic planning and future business direction

• Develop financial models and scenario planning to support business decisions

• Provide strategic recommendations on growth opportunities, investments, pricing, and cost structures

• Support leadership in evaluating new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion initiatives

• Help build KPI dashboards and performance tracking systems across the organization

Cross-Border Financial Management

• Coordinate and align finance teams across Taiwan and China

• Improve reporting consistency, visibility, and communication between entities

• Manage cross-border financial risks including currency exposure, tariffs, and regulatory considerations

• Ensure compliance with Taiwan and China financial and tax regulations

Performance Optimization

• Identify operational inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement

• Drive cost optimization initiatives while supporting sustainable growth

• Improve financial forecasting accuracy and business planning capabilities

• Build clearer financial visibility to support faster and better decision-making

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and strengthen the finance team

• Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement

• Improve cross-functional collaboration between finance and other departments

• Help elevate the finance function from transactional support to strategic business partnership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field

• MBA, CPA, or equivalent is a plus

• 8–15+ years of experience in finance, strategic planning, or business leadership roles

• Experience in manufacturing, export business, or cross-border operations preferred

• Experience managing Taiwan and/or China finance teams preferred

• Strong understanding of financial planning, accounting, cash flow management, and business analysis

• Fluent in Mandarin and English
