Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite applications in accordance with established company guidelines, philosophy, operational standards and regulatory requirements within underwriting authority
  • Participate in the development and implementation of underwriting initiatives aim at enhancing underwriting guidelines, requirements, procedures and practices
  • Participate in projects to improve underwriting processes such as rules engine and artificial intelligence decision models
  • Utilize data analytics to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement, enhance operational efficiency and address service gaps
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes that impact underwriting and ensure underwriting practices comply with regulatory requirements and internal standards and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support cross functional initiatives and other assigned responsibilities
  • Undertake additional roles and tasks as needed to support New Business and Underwriting management

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent qualifications with minimum 10 years of experience in underwriting
  • < li>Proven track record in digital operations and knowledge in AI technologies
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and presentation abilities
  • Excellent team player with high level of ownership and accountability
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment and can efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Cantonese, written and spoken English. Mandarin would be a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
