Director Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) - Contract Logistics - APAC

We are looking for a Director – HSEQ – Contract Logistics – APAC to lead HSEQ across our warehousing and contract logistics operations in Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, you will shape and embed HSEQ standards across new site launches and newly acquired businesses, ensuring operations meet DP World, regulatory and customer requirements from Go-Live. You will also partner with operational and commercial teams, providing HSEQ expertise on solution design, resources, compliance and customer requirements to support new business growth across the region. The role reports to the Vice President, HSE – APAC, with a dotted line to the Vice President, Operational Logistics – APAC.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure DP World standards, government regulations and customer-specific HSEQ requirements are implemented during new business launches, with the goal of achieving ISO compliance within 12 months of operations commencing.
• Partner with bid teams across APAC during the solution design phase, providing HSEQ input on budgetary, technical, tactical, legal and commercial considerations.
• Develop and continuously improve the HSEQ launch methodology, ensuring compliance from Go-Live.
• Embed DP World's operational safety, sustainability and quality standards into solution design, warehouse planning and new business launches.
• Integrate global and regional operational standards into the regional Quality Management System.
• Ensure the right HSEQ resources are in place to support new business launches and that stakeholders across different organisational levels receive the required training.
• Implement and stabilise the HSEQ Management System during new business launches, before transitioning responsibilities to Cluster, Country and Operations teams as the business moves into BAU.
• Provide HSEQ leadership and representation during external engagements with customers and regulatory stakeholders.
• Lead governance activities, including HSE audits, assessments and inspections, corrective action management and reporting.
• Mentor, manage and develop Contract Logistics HSEQ Managers and HSEQ Launch Leads, building capability across the region.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Quality, Engineering, or a related discipline. An advanced degree would be advantageous.
• At least 10 years of HSEQ experience, preferably within logistics, supply chain or a lean manufacturing environment.
• At least two years of management experience leading regional initiatives and programme implementation.
• Experience working with regionally dispersed teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing HSEQ solutions.
• A meticulous approach to maintaining high HSEQ standards, with a proactive mindset and focus on meeting deadlines and goals.
• Strong knowledge of APAC HSE standards, legislation and auditing practices.
• Expertise in developing, implementing and maintaining integrated management systems, including ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Experience managing complex quality requirements within sectors such as Life Sciences/Pharma, High-Tech, Automotive or FMCG would be an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across APAC, up to 25%, to support business activities.
