Role Purpose
As the Director & Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will be a strategic co-pilot to the Group Executive Team. You are responsible for steering the financial trajectory of FairPrice Group through rigorous performance management, and high-impact decision support. In this critical leadership role, you will bridge the gap between complex financial data and actionable business strategy, ensuring the Group meets its long-term financial commitments while navigating a volatile retail landscape.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the 3-to-5-year Strategic Long-Range Plan (LRP) across all business units (Grocery Business, e-commerce, Food Services, and Own Brands).
- Own the rolling forecast process, providing no-surprise outlooks to the CFO and Leadership team.
- Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate new market entries, M&A opportunities, and large-scale capital investments.
2. Stakeholder Management & Advisory
- Board & Executive Presence: Act as a key advisor to the Group CEO and CFO, translating financial performance into clear narratives for Board meetings.
- Business Partnership: Build strong, trust-based relationships with Business Unit Heads to drive margin improvement and cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Influence: Challenge the status quo by providing data-backed insights that influence operational shifts and resource allocation.
3. Performance Management & Analytics
- Design and oversee the Group's Performance Management (Balanced Scorecard) ensuring a single source of truth for all financial metrics.
- Identify and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) beyond the P&L, including market share, customer lifetime value, operation NPS.
- Lead the month-end variance analysis, providing deep-dive commentary on drivers, risks, and opportunities.
4. Digital Transformation & Excellence
- Drive the modernization of the FP&A function together with the Head of Finance Transformation by implementing AI-driven forecasting tools and automated BI dashboards.
- Continuously improve financial processes to reduce cycle times and increase the accuracy of financial reporting.
