Job Description

Summary

.Supervise the dim sum section's operations and control quality to ensure food meets hotel standards.

.Provide guidance and assistance to subordinates while monitoring the food preparation process and quality.

.Maintain cleanliness in the work area, ensuring proper food storage, handling methods, and cleanliness of utensils

.Assist the Executive Chinese Chef in designing dim sum offerings.

.Manage daily ordering quantities and production for the dim sum section to ensure sufficient food supply.

.Assist in the preparation of dim sum dishes, including portion arrangements, material handling procedures, and cleaning preparation tools.

.Collaborate closely with the Chinese kitchen department to ensure smooth operations.

.Adhere to the hotel's health and safety guidelines.

.Perform any duties assigned by the Management Team deemed necessary.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of food hygiene and food safety management systems (HACCP).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on culinary excellence
  • Able to work independently
  • Familiarity with kitchen operations
  • Able to work under pressure, in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Minimum 1 - 5 years of experience in hotel industry with similar positions.
