We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the regional IT infrastructure team for one of our global logistics clients.
The DevOps Engineer will be a part of the global IT Department, designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, containerized applications and CI/CD pipelines, focusing on automation, security, scalability, and monitoring in Azure environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, administer, and optimise cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
- Build, maintain, and support Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and ongoing administration.
- Manage database platforms such as SQL and MongoDB, including backup management, performance optimisation, and capacity planning.
- Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Deploy, configure, and monitor Apache Kafka and Kafka Connect environments across SaaS or PaaS platforms.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and other scripting languages.
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions to provide system visibility, performance monitoring, and proactive alerting.
- Integrate DevSecOps tools to support vulnerability scanning and code quality management.
- Ensure cloud platforms and deployment processes comply with security standards and industry best practices.
- Partner with software development teams to improve release processes, troubleshoot production issues, and implement technical solutions.
- Contribute to operational initiatives and support additional technology projects as required.
- Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call support roster.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field with 1-3 years of DevOps engineering experience.
- Certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, or monitoring platforms.
- Hands on experience in managing cloud and containerised environments (Azure).
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and open-source technologies.
- Strong experience in CI/CD tools and processes.
- Experience with Linux and Windows operation systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile teams.
- Good communication and collaboration skills with ability to engage stakeholders in complex and conflicting situation across multiple parties.
- Knowledge in dotnet, Python and JavaScript, Datadog and SNYK is a plus.
