This dedicated Design team for China and APAC will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of lululemon's product offering by blending global innovation with regional relevance.
As part of this team, you will lead a talented group of designers to bring concepts to life across womens and mens apparel collections - frominitial ideation and sketching, throughtechnical handoff and fittings, tofinal prototypes and presentations. Together, we aim to create products that aredistinctly lululemon, yetuniquely crafted for the APAC and China markets.
Just as our black stretchy pants sparked the birth of the athleisure category and redefined how people dress, we believe lululemon has theglobal reach and creative visionto do it again - this time, with a focus onChina and APAC.
In this moment, we seek aDesign Directorto lead and inspire the APAC team. Reporting to the Global SVP Women's Design and they will partner closely with ourother design leaders to build ablended and forward-thinking wardrobethat reflects the evolving lifestyles of our guests.

- Lead end-to-end design execution- from seasonal concepting and sketch reviews to prototype evaluations - ensuring every product reflects the original creative vision and meets global standards of excellence.
- Champion a culture of creativity and experimentation, empowering the team to deliver a robust pipeline of net-new styles each season.
- Drive regionally relevant storytelling and aesthetics, including graphics development and consumer-centric design that resonates across APAC and beyond.
- Build strategic partnerships and collaborationsto grow Asia for the World while maintaining local adaptation and authenticity.
- Accelerate design cyclesthrough off-cadence fast track calendars and agile development processes.
- Translate consumer insights and retail performanceinto actionable design strategies in partnership with Merchandising and cross-functional teams to drive commercial success.
- Align go-to-market timelineswith regional and global strategies to ensure timely execution and impact.
- Demonstrate technical expertise in performance fabrics, briefing raw materials teams to support innovation and sustainability.
- Mentor and develop design talent, cultivating a high-performing, diverse, and resilient team culture that thrives on curiosity and collaboration.
- Collaborate closely with lululemon's global design leadership, including traveling to Vancouver and Los Angeles to co-create, share regional Insights, and shape a unified global design vision.
- Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experiencein apparel or product design, combining deep industry expertise with proven people leadership across diverse, high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated success in leading regional or global design functions, with a strong track record of driving innovation, delivering commercially successful products, and scaling design operations.
- Strong understanding of 3D design tools and workflows, with the ability to integrate digital design into the product creation process to enhance speed, visualization, and sustainability.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop, with working knowledge of Excel, Word, and the Mac platform.
- Expertise in performance fabrics(knits and wovens), with the ability to translate technical knowledge into actionable briefs for raw material development.
- Strategic thinker with commercial acumen, capable of interpreting consumer insights and in-store performance data (especially across APAC and China) to inform design decisions.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with experience partnering across Merchandising, Product Development, Innovation, and external collaborators.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop creative talent, fostering a diverse, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture.
- Bachelor's degree (BA, BFA, or BS) in Design or related field required equivalent experience may be considered. Advanced education or certifications in design, innovation, or leadership are a plus.
