About The Job
This is a pivotal, high-exposure strategic role designed for a professional ready to enter a fast-track pipeline to succeed the current Head of Department (HOD). You will take ownership of an expanded risk management and compliance portfolio and be responsible for:
- Partnering side-by-side with the HOD on high-level corporate risk governance frameworks, policy overhauls, and strategic initiatives.
- Providing direct leadership to the Sanction Compliance function, steering the division through its impending automation phase to optimize high-level risk workflows.
- Acting as the resident subject matter expert on prevailing MAS regulations, ensuring the organization remains highly adaptive to changing market rules.
- Formulating and refining sophisticated CDD and compliance protocols across complex general insurance product lines.
- Serving as a confident, articulate advisor to senior management.
Skills And Experience Required
- At least 7+ years of deep risk management and compliance experience within the insurance sector, with a strong emphasis on general insurance operations.
- Advanced, up-to-date mastery of MAS regulations, notices, and guidelines.
- Proven leadership qualities with the capability (or clear readiness) to manage a team and drive technological process transformation.
- A proactive, articulate professional voice with the confidence to communicate complex compliance standpoints to C-suite stakeholders.
- Absolute discretion (tight-lipped approach) regarding internal corporate strategies and highly confidential information.
