Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Demolition Project Manager to oversee and manage demolition projects from planning through completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with all applicable regulatory and safety requirements. The role requires strong technical knowledge of demolition methodologies, scaffolding works, project management, and site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage demolition projects from pre-construction to project completion.
  • Develop project schedules, work plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Supervise daily site operations and ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant workplace safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate demolition sequencing, temporary works, scaffolding, waste management, and material disposal.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Monitor project costs, productivity, quality, and progress, and prepare regular reports for management and clients.
  • Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Conduct site inspections, safety meetings, and toolbox talks.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, government authorities, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all project documentation, permits, inspections, and compliance records are maintained accurately.
  • Resolve technical and operational issues promptly to minimize project delays.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on site experience in demolition and scaffolding works.
  • Strong understanding of demolition methods, construction sequencing, and project execution.
  • Good knowledge of applicable compliance standards, workplace safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Proven knowledge and relevant certifications required to manage construction and demolition projects.
  • Formal academic qualifications are not mandatory however, relevant industry skill certifications are essential.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management documentation.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Relevant demolition or construction safety certifications.
  • Scaffolding supervision or management certification.
  • Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) certifications (where applicable).
  • First Aid and Fire Safety certification (preferred).
  • Any recognized project management certification is an advantage.
