Role and Responsibilities:
- The Cloud DB Migration Solution Architect role is responsible for the on-prem/ multi cloud to Azure DB migrations which includes SQL, MySQL, Postgres SQL, Cassendra, MongoDB etc. The role involves executing these cloud migrations using Microsoft DB migration tools (DMS, Azure Migrate, DMA etc..), providing technical explanations and hands-on to customers, and answering questions to strongly support customers digital transformation.
Skills – Must Have:
- 5 years of relevant work experience
- 2+ years of experience with prod workload in Cloud ecosystem (Azure)
- Experience of Microsoft Azure implementation and deep understanding of Azure services.
- Sufficient experience, knowledge and understanding of cloud DB migrations to work on a DB Migration Solution Architect capacity.
- Experience and knowledge on different DB migration methods and Tools (DMS, Azure Migrate, DMA etc..), On-prem /other public cloud to Azure cloud DB migrations (SQL, MySQL, Postgres SQL, Cassendra, MongoDB etc..).
- Experience and flexibility to work on hands on migrations (when required)
- Expertise in On-prem/Public cloud DB assessments using Microsoft native tools.
- Adequate knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure and network.
- Work with Internal stakeholders, Customer stakeholders and Project Managers to understand the migration requirements and provide solutions accordingly
- Significant experience in IT business for medium-to- Enterprise scale companies in the Korean market.
- Good oral in English.
Skills – Good to Have:
- Experience and knowledge on other public clouds (AWS/GCP/Alibaba).
- Experience with PostgreSQL 13 and/or MySQL 5.7 and above
- Experience with SQL Server 2016 and above
- In-depth understanding of the database engine and strong performance tuning
- skills
- Troubleshooting experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL, SQL Server high
- availability solutions
- Strong experience working with Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting
- Strong communication skills

- Experience with Infrastructure as a code (IAC) such as terraform, or Cloud-
- formation is an added advantage
- Familiarity with database CICD process, concept, and tools
- Understanding of NoSQL databases is an added advantage
