Role Description The Database Architect – Couchbase role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The individual in this role will design and implement scalable database architectures centered on Couchbase, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining data models, optimizing database schemas, overseeing database administration activities, and supporting ETL processes to move and transform data across systems. The Database Architect will collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to align database solutions with application requirements and business goals, while also establishing best practices, standards, and documentation for data management.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in Data Architecture and Data Modeling, with the ability to design scalable, secure, and well-structured data solutions.
• Proficiency in Database Design and Database Administration, including performance tuning, indexing strategies, and monitoring.
• Experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, data integration, and optimizing data flows between systems.
• Hands-on experience (6+ years) working with Couchbase or similar NoSQL databases in production environments.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, high availability architectures, and data replication strategies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps practices related to database deployment and management.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work.
