Dangerous Goods Compliance & Logistics Specialist

Location: Taiwan

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, onsite 3 days per week

Job Responsibilities

• Manage Dangerous Goods (DG) classification and compliance for new and existing products, including UN Number, Proper Shipping Name, DG Class, Packing Group and battery-related requirements.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and pre-production shipments, ensuring products are correctly classified and ready for shipment.
• Review and maintain key compliance documents, including SDS/MSDS and UN38.3 Test Summaries.
• Ensure shipments comply with applicable IATA DGR, IMDG, ADR and 49 CFR requirements.
• Manage logistics activities across contract manufacturers, origin operations and global freight carriers, including shipment exceptions and escalations.
• Conduct remote DG compliance audits, monitor corrective actions (CAPA), and ensure issues are closed within agreed timelines.
• Manage DG training requirements and maintain accurate training and compliance records.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for internal teams, suppliers and logistics partners.
• Monitor carrier performance, including on-time delivery, service performance and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through Excel/Google Sheets automation, macros, scripts or AI tools.

Job Requirements

• 4–5+ years of experience in Dangerous Goods compliance, product classification and/or DG transportation.
• Current certification in IATA DGR (Air) and IMDG (Sea).
• Working knowledge of 49 CFR and ADR regulations.
• Hands-on experience with Dangerous Goods classification, compliance audits and CAPA management.
• Experience supporting NPI logistics, contract manufacturers and global transportation operations.
• Experience managing freight carriers, shipment exceptions and logistics performance.
• Strong spreadsheet skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and macros; exposure to automation or AI tools is an advantage.
• Strong ability to manage large datasets and maintain accurate compliance records.
• Good understanding of SOP development, documentation and process standardization.
• Fluent English and Mandarin communication skills for working with internal teams, suppliers and logistics partners.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
