CTO (AI fintech - Remote)

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on CTO to lead the technology strategy, product engineering, and AI innovation roadmap for a high-growth fintech SaaS business. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building scalable platforms, launching AI-powered products, and leading engineering teams through rapid growth.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in senior technology leadership roles (CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering).
• Proven experience building and scaling fintech SaaS products from 0→1.
• Track record of launching AI/ML-powered solutions into production.
• Strong expertise in cloud-native SaaS architectures, APIs, and modern DevOps/MLOps practices.
• Hands-on experience in fintech domains such as payments, lending, wealth management, insurance, or banking-as-a-service.
• Experience leading engineering organizations through high-growth phases and scaling teams.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and regulated environments.
• Builder mindset with startup experience and the ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Preferred

• Experience scaling companies through Series A/B/C growth stages.
• Familiarity with open banking, payment rails, and core banking integrations.
• Exposure to agentic AI architectures and AI-driven financial workflows.
• Founder or early-stage startup leadership experience.
