Job Description

AllianceBernstein as a global asset manager is seeking a credit research analyst responsible for producing high-quality credit research on Asia based corporate bond issuers across multiple sectors especially the financial sector (banks and non-bank financial institutions).

This role sits with global credit research team. Collaboration with portfolio managers, traders, other credit research analysts across different markets including the United States, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai is central to this role. This role requires strong financial modelling skills and communication skills. As a global asset management firm, we put clients interest first. So we are looking for candidates that share our fiduciary mindset.

This role will report to Director of Asia Credit Research and will be based in Taipei.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior research analysts in conducting fundamental corporate credit research on financial institutions and corporates across multiple sectors across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Maintain a high-quality work product with respect to financial modelling, industry trends, and credit review presentations for the investment team.
  • Communicate fundamental views to portfolio managers and other investment professionals.
  • Engage with management teams, industry experts, and sell-side firms.
  • Align with the firm's investment approach; leverage quantitative tools for investment decision making; incorporate AI in the workflows of fundamental research.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics or related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years of fundamental research experience (buy-side, sell-side or a rating agency) or a strong corporate finance background.
  • Relevant sector experience in financial institutions – banks and insurers – is an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of fixed income markets is a plus.
  • Financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills; CFA or progress towards achieving it preferred; proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg required.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills in English and ability to communicate with internal stakeholders globally.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and able to work independently in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
  • Possess Taiwan license for SITCA registration.
